1.46.010 System adopted.1

The city of Hoquiam elects to participate in the statewide system for pension, relief, disability, and retirement for eligible employees of the city, provided for by Chapter 41.40 RCW. (Ord. 1742 § 1, 1948).

1.46.020 Number of employees.

The number of employees of the city who shall be included as members of the pension system is approximately fifty. (Ord. 1742 § 2, 1948).

1.46.030 Transmittal of records.

The city finance director of the city is directed to transmit a certified copy of the ordinance codified in this section to the retirement board of the system as evidence of the election of the city to join the pension system. (Ord. 1742 § 3, 1948).

1.46.040 Police department retirement system – Participation elected.

The city of Hoquiam has elected to participate as a member of the statewide city employees retirement system for pension, relief, disability, and retirement for the employees of the police department as provided by Chapter 41.44 RCW. All employees and officials of the department shall be included in the system as authorized under RCW 41.40.128. (Ord. 2218 § 1, 1962).

1.46.050 Police department retirement system – Number of members.

The number of employees and officials, other than elective officials, who shall be included as members of the pension system is approximately 16. (Ord. 2218 § 2, 1962).

1.46.060 Police department retirement system – Evidence of election.

A certified copy of this chapter shall be transmitted to the board of trustees of the statewide system as evidence of an election of the city to join such pension system. (Ord. 2218 § 3, 1962).

1.46.070 Police department retirement system – Basis of prior credit.

The basis for prior service credit shall be one and one-third percent of final compensation known as “full prior service credit.” (Ord. 2218 § 4, 1962).

1.46.080 Police department retirement system – Basis of contribution.

The basis for contribution shall be all of the compensation of a member. (Ord. 2218 § 5, 1962).
