Hoquiam's Community Services Department is responsible for the development and implementation of recreational programming our various park facilities.

The goal of the department is to meet the diverse needs of the community while coordinating activities that promote community activity and involvement.

• Pocklington Central Park Playground Project - There are exciting plans in the works for Art Pocklington Central Play Park. Art Pocklington Central Play Park is in need of an upgrade. The playground equipment has aged significantly and the 70 year old pool is leaky and requires lifeguard staff, limiting the time the City can keep the pool open. The City of Hoquiam has applied for and received grant funding from the State of Washington to completely renovate Art Pocklington Central Play Park.
  
  The funding totals $198,754 which the City must match with a total of $242,922. The City is currently seeking donations to help with matching funds for the project...[View Presentation ]
• Waterfront Revitalization Project -The City of Hoquiam has applied for and received grant funding from the State of Washington to acquire property along the Hoquiam River in order to complete design and permitting to renovate the Levee Street Boat Launch and study the feasibility of a marina in the area.
