Join the City of Hoquiam Historic Preservation Commission and their consultants, Northwest Vernacular, for an online public meeting to discuss the reconnaissance level survey of the 6 block area off the southwest side of Karr’s Hill. A second public meeting will be held in the Spring once the draft survey report is completed.
The City of Hoquiam received a grant from the National Park Service through the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) to conduct a reconnaissance level survey of the area to serve as a foundation for individual or district nominations to the Hoquiam Register of Historic Places. This is a continuation of the previous survey work east of Garfield Street. The survey area is bounded by Garfield Street (east), Emerson Avenue (south), Fillmore Street (west), and Chenault Avenue (north).
