Meetings: The Hoquiam Civil Service Board will be meeting at 4:00 on Thursday, February 28th at Hoquiam City Hall, 609 8th Street, Hoquiam, WA.
Duties: To select, appoint, and employ personnel for the Police and Fire Departments, not including the Police Chief and Fire Chief.

Duties: The primary duty of the Hoquiam Historic Preservation Commission is to initiate and maintain a register of historic properties and review proposed changes to register properties. The Commission shall also promote awareness and preservation of Hoquiam’s History

Meetings: Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM at the Library
Duties: The management and control of the Library including supervision, care and custody of all property of the library.

Duties: The proper operation, maintenance and improvement of the municipal cemetery.

Duties: Advise the Council regarding the general planning, supervision and control of all parks, stadium, recreational facilities and programs, and community services of the City.

Duties:
- Preparation and review of the comprehensive plan for the city;
- Review and recommendation on all applications for amending comprehensive plan and development regulations as provided in RCW 35A.63.100; and
- Such other advisory duties as may be assigned to it by the mayor and city council.

Meetings: Meet as Necessary
Duties: The purpose of the urban forestry advisory board shall be promoting the responsible planting of trees on public and private property, public education about trees, promotion of proper maintenance of trees, advocating trees within the city, developing innovative and joint funding for projects from a variety of sources, and hearing appeals.
