The City Administrator serves under the direction of the Mayor, supervising the administrative affairs and processes in the operation of Hoquiam's City government.

The City Administrator carries out the requirements of City ordinances and City Council policies and assists in the coordination of City business between the City Council and the various City officers and departments.

Brian's professional objective is to fulfill the City's mission of 'enhancing the quality of its community life through a growing diversification of its industrial base, enhanced business and housing opportunities, together with a safe, secure environment with opportunities for all to reach full potential.'

Brian earned his Master's in Public Administration from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. His B.A. was from the University of Washington with a major in Political Science. His education has continued with numerous seminars and short courses in local government management. Thanks for your interest.
