Welcome to our Friendly City

Hoquiam is located on the west coast of  Washington just a few miles from Pacific beaches.  Visitors to our city are always made to feel welcome as they enjoy the history, activities, and nature our friendly little community has to offer. You won’t want to miss out on the 7th Street Theatre. Our beautiful and historic restored theater seats more than 1,100 people who always welcome a new show or event to town. The theater is located in downtown Hoquiam.

Rich History

Just a short drive from the theatre is luxurious Hoquiam Castle. Constructed in 1897, the exquisite mansion boasted all the comfort amenities of East Coast mansions of the day. The privately owned mansion is open for tours. Interested in history? Locals and visitors alike always enjoy checking out our historic Polson Museum. Learn more about Hoquiam’s rich history here.

Nature and Shopping

If nature is more to your liking, check out the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge where hundreds of thousands of shorebirds stop over during their spring and fall migrations. The birds feed here on their way North to the Artic and their southern return. A new 1,800′ boardwalk makes walking and viewing of birds and wildlife easy. Of course, you are alwasy welcome at the Grays Harbor Farmers Market and Craft Fair: one of only two Washington State farmers markets open year round. Discover local produce, delicious pastries, fresh seafood, chowder, fine arts, & quality-crafted items
