The goal of the Hoquiam Fire Department is to provide our citizens with the highest degree of life safety and property protection. We will accomplish this through the extension of fire prevention programs, aggressive fire suppression measures and advanced life support and emergency medical services.

I would also like to thank the Citizens of Hoquiam for your support and cooperation. It is with your help that we were able to maintain staffing levels and upgrade apparatus, equipment and facilities. AFD-HFD Cooperative Services Feasibility Study

The cities of Aberdeen and Hoquiam engaged Emergency Services Consulting International (ESCI) on behalf of the Aberdeen Fire Department (AFD) and Hoquiam Fire Department (HFD) to conduct a Fire Department Cooperative Services Feasibility Study. Click here to view the feasibility study.

Emergency Medical Services Rate Study

The City contracted with FCS Group, Solutions-Oriented Consulting to review the cost of service and perform a rate analysis over the ambulance availability fee as well as contracted services. Click here to view the rate study.

Recreational Fire Regulations

Due to the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) enacting rules and regulations concerning outdoor burning, the citizens of Hoquiam are no longer permitted to burn as they have in the past. Only "Recreational fires" are allowed. Get details here.
